Some people think when the bible say the gospel is good news, that means anything that sound good to the ear on the alter is the gospel.
They think the gospel is anything that is from the Bible that is good to the ear.
So they go about preaching all kinds of motivational word, or all kind of message of prosperity or deliverance or prophesy or all kind of message of the law or healing and are calling it the gospel.
No sir. no ma’am. all this are not the good news the Bible calls the gospel. But those might be term good news but that is not the good news that the bible termed the gospel.
The good new that was being communicated of in the Bible that is the gospel, is of the coming of the messiah that will come and die to save the whole world from their sins.
So the gospel is about Jesus christ and him crucify.
It is not about anyone else or any other thing in the Bible.
Anything other than this is not the gospel.
But it ok to makes reference to all the old patriot in the Bible still to buttress your communication of the gospel which is the good news. But when you begins to dwell in those character instead of the person of Jesus they all came to announce to the world, just know that you are no longer preaching the gospel.
So if the message in that gathering of yours is not about the unveiling of the person and the finish work of Jesus that reveal the true identity of the believers, I believe with this clarification, we should all know that such a gathering is not a gathering for the preaching of the gospel. We should understand that such a gathering is not the church of Christ that he said he will build that the gate or hell shall not prevail against.
Just like Peter who gave a revelation of who christ is, in one book of…….. when Jesus asked them who do men say’s I am, and Peter said you are Christ the son of the living God and Jesus said upon this (revelation of himself) will his church be build that the gate of hell will not prevail against,
The truth is the gospel and the church of Christ must be about owner of the church, which is christ himself.
Any other teaching that is not about Christ and his crucifixion is not the gospel that we have being called to preach.
It must be about the unveiling of the finish work of Christ on the cross that reveal the true identity of the believers in Christ.

Mathew 26:13
And it says verily I say unto you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world there shall also this, that this woman has done be told for a memorial of her.
Mark 1:1-15.
The verse 1-2 said the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the son of God; as it is written in the prophets, behold I sent my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare the way before thee.
Apostle Paul Has this to say about the gospel.
“The gospel is how Christ died to save us from our sin”._1 Corinthians 15:1-5.
