If we want the church to grow, we must learn to feed the church flock with the right diet to growth with.
Church growth isn’t just about feeding the flock. Most of all, we must know the right meal to feed the flock with that will make them grow fast and healthy in the mind and their beliefs that totally affect every aspect of their life.
Just as we can’t go feeding dog food to chicken daily and expect them to grow well, we can’t also go feeding the church of Christ with all kinds of meals that are not meant for the church of Christ and still expect the church to grow well.
Over the years I have seen how preachers go about feeding the flock of God with all kinds of meals that is not supposed to be the right meal for the Church of God. Some go about feeding the church with a motivational meal, to some, it is a prophesy meal, to some, it is the law and its condemnation and to some, it is all kind of healing and deliverance messages that has no basis to the receptive power of Christ death burial and resurrection.
The truth is if the flocks must grow fast and healthy, they must be fed with the right diet to grow with. The right meal for the church of Christ is the Christocentric meal.
It is the Christ center meal. Anything outside this will be us feeding the wrong diet to the right flock.
When we say Christ center meal or message, we mean the reason, the content, the message and the teaching of our message must be Christ centered.
It shouldn’t be like someone just using the name of Jesus to preach other messages instead. the message should be about Christ.
At the same time, we shouldn’t use the name of Jesus in our message as though a writer just quoting another author whose message is totally different from the just quoted author.
Instead, the true message of our teachings in the church of Christ should be Christ.
This is the ideal meal for the church of Christ. It is the ideal diet for the church of Christ.
The reason is because Christ is the fertilizer of his church, he is what the flock need to grow well and healthy.
He is the deliverer, the redeemer, the savior, the provider, the source of strength, hope, energy, and many more to his church.
You can’t leave him out and go teaching the by product; of the like or miracle message, prophesy and the likes, instead of you to teach him the true source.
You can’t leave him out of his church and expect the church to grow according to his desire growth.
It is like the newborn babes desiring the sincere milk of their mother. They can’t afford to be fed another food when all they need to grow is the breast milk of their mothers. So also is the church of Christ.
If we really want true church growth, we must learn to feed them with the right diet to grow with.
The truth is when the right diet is fed to the flock, they will also go out there with confidence and bring in others to come taste what they have been fed with that has given birth to their sound growth.
This is how a true church of Christ grows. It is not just about the gathering of a crowd of people but it is about the Christ doctrinal soundness of the people.
It is about what they know about Christ their savior. And it is also about them knowing about what the savior has done for them and also knowing what their right is in the kingdom.
This is what defines the true growth of a church of Christ.
