does believers have eternal life in them ?
I have being made to understand that many believers believed that no believer has eternal life in them right now while still in this world but until the die and leave this world.
They believed a believer can only have eternal life when he or she leave this world and finally makes it to the heaven. Just as they also believe that no man is in heaven right now or that salvation is not eternal.
As such this is the reason many would believe that a believer can lose his or her salvation. Because if they understand that a believer here on earth already have eternal life dwelling in them, they would have understand that the question of losing salvation is never a topic for discussion.
The truth is you can not have eternal life dwelling in you and still be subject of mortality to still die by losing you salvation or your eternal life.
You can not have eternal life that bring you into the state of immortality and then come back to the state of mortality. It is not possible.
What most of this people don’t seems understand is that the day you say yes to jesus Christ and receive the life of christ in you, that day eternal life come on your inside.
Eternal life is not something different from what you receive on the inside. Eternal life is the life of Christ that you receive when you say yes to the life of Christ.
Just as jesus was telling to Martha in the book of John 11:17-25. that he is the resurrection and the life they have being waiting for (even while she never believed him.) in the same light, Jesus is also the eternal life that many are hoping to have in them to make them immortal.
Jesus has to tell the Jews that ” search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life but there are they that testify of me. And You will not come to me so that they might life ._ John 5:39-40
It is why I will often say that salvation is not us giving your life to Christ. For we do not have life to be giving to jesus Christ when we were already dead to sin.
Our life was already condemn to death as such the bible said we were dead to sin. But Salvation is we recieving the life of Christ. It is we exchanging our lifelessness and our sin with the life and the righteousness of jesus.
What jesus gave us isn’t the life that we are living in this world that many would think they have to give to jesus to be save. If that be the case every one in this world, including the unbelievers would have been said have that same life to give even while we know they are dead already.
But the life we receive from Jesus is the eternal life that has no ending.
So when we receive the life of Christ into our life, that is eternal life that has come on our inside. And once you have eternal life, you can no longer have a short life to be thinking of losing your life again, to be saying one can lose his or her salvation. That will no longer be a life that is eternal.
For eternal life is the same as having salvation in Christ Jesus. It is the life of Christ in you.
What we must come to understand is that, the package of salvation is a full package that comes with resurrection power from the dead, and eternal life.
Once you have it, you can never lose it and you can never die spiritually again.
Once you have it, You become like your father; immortal, although living in a mortal body that will one day be drop off on the last day for another that fits the immortal nature.
Now this is the state God is in, Who is the father of immortality.
It is why Jesus will say that my sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me and I give them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My father, which gave them to me is greater than them all and no man is able to pluck them out of my fathers hand_ John 10:27-29
Jesus didn’t say I WILL give them eternal life when they leave this world. Or when they get to heaven up there in the sky like many believed.
Rather he said he has given them eternal life already by believing to receive him on their inside.
So saying that believers doesn’t have eternal life yet in this world is like saying that Jesus lied.
And also saying that someone with eternal life can still lose his salvation is like saying that the life Jesus gave us wasn’t eternal afterall or that Jesus lied when he said he has giving us eternal life.
It means you are saying jesus never truly gave anyone eternal life yet until we get to your believed heaven. Or that eternal life is not the same thing as having Christ salvation. Or that eternal life can be lost from being in a state of immortal to the state of mortals again.
Or that you are thinking that the life Jesus truly gave us is not different from the life that we are living now including the unbelievers and some believers that is making us to think we can lose it if we don’t daily struggles to keep it.
So we can see that eternal life is an instantaneous thing that come into the believer the moment he or she believe and receive christ in them and it is not something to gain later when they leave this world.
The truth is Jesus in us is the life of God in us which is the Aionios zoe life which is also life eternal.
Believers in Christ jesus already have eternal life_ 1 John. 5:13
Just as jesus is the resurrection of life and dead, eternal life is not anything separated from Jesus.
Jesus coming into us is him bringing the presence of God into us that also bring the life of God into us just as God live it, that is called the Aionios Zoe life which is eternal life.
Eternal life is the person of jesus that was manifested unto us. 1 john 1:2-3
When you have him in you, you have eternal life in you.
