In Matthew 5:8 Jesus speaking he said ‘blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.’
The book of Matthew 5:8 just read made us understand that our right to see in God and of the things of the world beyond is dependable on the pureness of our heart.
Just as our physical eye is our point of visualization in the totality of our body into this world, so also is our heart, our point of seeing of the life and the world beyond. As we all know When our physical has eyes becomes damage, when that only source of light in our body becomes corrupt, seeing is said to becomes a thing of difficulty and of the past.
Untill any remedy is propounded to that eye we may never see again.
The position of our heart as regards to the source of light to the mind eyes towards seeing God can not be short-changed.
When our heart as well becomes damage by all kind of evil thought, and all manners of evil act that are said to clover our mind eye, we will be separated from our God not to see God even when standing right before us.
This was the case of Adam and Eve at the garden of Eden. In Genesis 3:8 when they had eating the forbidden fruit, when they had sin against God, their heart was said to become corrupt leaving them blind in their mind eyes.
Adam and Eve could no longer see God even when God was walking around in the garden at the cold of the day (the the right hour they were supposed to fellowship with God) At that same hour to which before now, God would come to fellowship with them. At that time to which they were meant to see God. But when their heart had become corrupt, they became blind and could no longer see God but only hear God as walking in the garden.
Their spirit-mind eye was said to be covered by the un-pureness of their heart but their eye was said to be open to the canal world; our world and no more open to God’s world and they sewed fig leaves as an apron to cover their nakedness when they knew they were naked. Genesis 3:7
The understanding that it take a clear eye to see of the things of this world is a justification of the fact that the eye is the visual and most precious point of our body. When this eye becomes damage or corrupt, our visual capability is said to be shortened. For that is why it is said in the book of psalm 24:3-4 the writer asked ‘who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place but that of he that has clean hands and a pure heart ; who hath no lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitful.’ that him alone can come unto the presence of the Lord.
Friends we must strive to follow at peace with all men and holiness, for without which no man shall see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14.
Our heart needs to be guided with the word of God from the every day evil thought that keep on spreading across the pavement of our inner visualisations as not to fall a prey of the enemy.
So you can at each day profess that your eyes are only open to that which God want you to see and not that which the devil is pressing upon you.
