Jesus said in the book of John 15:12 that ” whosoever believes in me, he will do the work that I do and Greater works than this will he do.” still many people don’t seem to understand what he meant by this statement. so when we say we; the believer are greater than all the Old Testament patriots or prophets in the bible, many think we are proud and saying nonsense but we are not. Like John the Baptist, we are greater than them all including John the Baptist who is said to be greater than all the prophets of old.
Now Jesus has to make it clear in the book of Mathew 11:11 and Luke 7:28 that among any one born of a woman there is no greater prophets than John the Baptist, but that the least in the kingdom is greater than John the Baptist.
So you see, the least person in the kingdom is said to be greater than John the baptist who is said to be greater than them all.
The question you may need to ask yourself is are you in the kingdom?
Do we know what it means to be in the kingdom?
Do we know who are those that is said to be in the kingdom that jesus was speaking of?
The truth is, It only when we understand who are those that are in the kingdom or what it takes to be in the kingdom, that we can truly know who Jesus was referring to as “those in the kingdom” that are said to be greater than John the baptist.
The truth is being in the kingdom comes by being born again.
It comes by believing in the finish work of Christ that makes you and I the believers to be greater than all the prophets of the old including John Baptist who is said to be greater than them all whose only great work was to reveal Jesus to the world.
(Remember jesus said the only way to doing greater work than he did is by believing in him. And it is this same believe that bring us into the kingdom that make us to be greater than all the prophet of the old including John the baptist.)
The truth is the believer are not only revealing Jesus to the world, but we carry Jesus on our inside bearing witness to his finish works that make us the candidate of the kingdom. And as well doing greater work than jesus did through the power the dwell in us.
It is on this note will Jesus say that greater works than this we will do.
So when Jesus died and rose from the grave, his spirit came on our inside to quicken our mortar body to do greater works of him.
It is also the same spirit that came on Peter and Paul the Apostle And the rest of the apostles that they rout greater works with thier hands by going about teaching the crowds of people and healing the sick And raising the dead.
As a believer, and as son of God, our place is the kingdom of God that is what makes us the son of God.
So understanding our position in the kingdom give us a heart of boldness to face the defeated enemy by declaring who we are in the kingdom that make us victorious in this world.
It is why we must study to show ourself approve unto God, a work man that needed not be ashame but rightly dividing the word of truth._2 Timothy 2:15
